Carolina Seminar • Muslim Atheism

Eren Tasar is an associate professor of history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the author of Soviet and Muslim: The Institutionalization of Islam in Central Asia (OUP, 2017). He will present a draft of the first chapter of his book on Muslim Atheism.
The seminar series is co-sponsored by the Carolina Seminar Program, the UNC Department of History, the Center for Slavic, Eurasian and East European Studies, and the Central Asia Working Group. Please note that the participants will give an overview of their projects, but will not read a formal paper. Instead, papers or book chapters will be circulated ahead of time to those who are interested in attending and participating in the discussion.
