CSEEES compiles brochures with information on UNC courses that span disciplines and topics related to East Europe, Russia, and Eurasia. Among a variety of departments represented, students can choose from courses such as “Sunstrokes in Dark Alleys: Russian Short Stories,” “From Fiddler on the Roof to the Holocaust: East European and Soviet Jewish History,” and “Democracy and International Institutions in an Undivided Europe.” The Department of Germanic & Slavic Languages and Literatures also offers language courses from fast-paced Russian conversation classes to elementary and intermediate Czech, Polish, and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian.
