“Ukraine One Year After the Maidan: Variations in Developments” Lecture

Pawel Kowal is a well-known Polish politician, leader of Poland Together political party, former Member of European Parliament, and former State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Kowal is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Institute of Political Studies at the Polish Academy of Sciences, where he has had a long-standing affiliation. As a Member of the European Parliament, he was chairman of the EU delegation to the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Commission. From 2007-09, he was Vice-Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Polish Sejm (house of parliament). He has also been long involved in the founding and organization of the Warsaw Uprising Museum.
