Q: Where did you study as an undergraduate? What was your major (s)?
“I studied Political Science and Applied Anthropology at UNC Charlotte.”
Q: Why did you choose UNC CSEEES?
“I wanted to attend an interdisciplinary program with a language component.”
Q: Why did you choose to study this region of the globe?
“I became interested in Russian history and culture from language courses.”
Q: Do you have work and/or study experience in the region?
“Yes. I studied abroad for a semester in Moscow in 2013 and I interned for a semester at the US embassy to Moscow in 2014.”
Q: What are your research interests?
“The politics of language, state language ideologies, the political economy of language.”
Q: What is your dream job?
“I would like to work in an US embassy abroad.”
Q: What are your hobbies? What do you like doing in your free time?
“I like to hike and camp with my dog Linka and my fiancé.”
