Where did you study as an undergraduate? What was your major(s)?

College of Charleston; I majored in History and Religious Studies.

What do you like about UNC’s graduate program in Russian and East European Studies?

I enjoy the variety of classes available and the program requirements.

Why did you choose to specialize in this region of the globe?

I have always been interested in Eastern European history, and I have read multiple books on Poland.

Do you have work and/or study experience in the region?

I have taken a few classes on Russia and Gender, as well as a history course on the Soviet Union.

What are your research interests?

Polish women and LGBTQ communities.

What would you like to do after you graduate?

I’d like to be a professor.

What are your hobbies? What do you like doing in your free time?

I enjoy reading, Quidditch, and video games.
