Lunch & Learn: Election Fraud, Motivated Reasoning and Durable Authoritarianism: Evidence From Russia

Graeme Robertson is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A specialist in comparative politics, Graeme’s work focuses on political protest, opposition and the dynamics of competition between incumbent rulers and their challengers in authoritarian political systems. He has published articles in many academic journals including the American Political Science Review, the American Journal of Political Science, and The Journal of Politics. His most recent book, The Politics of Protest in Hybrid Regimes: Managing Dissent in Post-Communist Russia, was published by Cambridge University Press in January 2011. Graeme is currently working on a study of the Russian opposition in the aftermath of the 2011-12 election protests.
