Talk • Cultural Landscape as a Metaphor

Olga Lavrenova is a Russian geographer, philosopher and historian. She is one of the leading researcher at the Institute of Scientific Information on Human Science (INION RAS) and a professor at the National University of Science and Technology in Moscow.  She is the 2021 Fulbright scholar at the University on North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Lavrenova has authored over 180 publications, including the monograph Spaces and Meanings: Semantics of the Cultural Landscape ( Springer, 2019).
