Information Session • Critical Languages Scholarship
October 3, 2022 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program is an intensive overseas language and cultural immersion program for American students enrolled at U.S. colleges and universities. Students spend eight to ten weeks abroad studying one of 14 critical languages. The program includes intensive language instruction and structured cultural enrichment experiences designed to promote rapid language gains. Undergraduate and graduate students of diverse disciplines and majors are encouraged to apply. Learn more about the program here: https://clscholarship.org/
The CLS info session will be led by Caitlyn Carpio (CLS Program Officer and UNC-CH alumna) and Adi Džumhur (CLS Campus Advisor). Participants will also hear from fellow Tar Heels who completed the Arabic and Chinese CLS programs. In addition, a representative from the UNC Writing Center will discuss their resources to support CLS applicants.
