Mirjana Stankovic is an international lawyer and development economist with over fifteen years of professional and research portfolio in intellectual property law, technology law, and emerging technologies (artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data, and internet of things). Dr. Stankovic serves as a Vice President for Intellectual Property and Emerging Technologies at Tambourine Innovation Ventures. She also serves as a senior regulatory and innovation advisor for major international development organizations: WIPO, OECD, World Bank, International Finance Corporation, UNIDO, UNCITRAL, UNIDROIT, Inter-American Development Bank, and African Development Bank. Her current research looks at circular migration and brain gain of highly skilled Southeast Europeans migrants. The research will provide, for the first time, an in-depth economic, socio-cultural, ethnographic and demographic comparative analysis of the highly educated migration from Southeast Europe to the United States.
