Lei Yang is an associate professor and the director for the Center for Russian and Central Asian studies at Nankai University. He received his Ph.D from the International Relations School at Peking University, China, and was a fellow on the International Scholar Exchange Fellowship at the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies at Seoul National University. His research focuses on the foreign policy and political transformation of Russia and Central Asian countries and their mutual relations. He has published extensively in Chinese, English, and Russian scholarly publications.
