Q: Where did you study as an undergraduate? What was your major (s)?
“I studied business administration at Cal State Fullerton.”
Q: Why did you choose UNC CSEEES?
“It is a well-rounded, but also focused degree covering my main interest of further understanding the world, specifically the Russian, Eurasian, and Eastern European area.”
Q: Why did you choose to study this region of the globe?
“I am interested in the security issues, political structures, and economy of this region due to the vast differences that exist between the nation states of the former Soviet Union.”
Q: Do you have work and/or study experience in the region?
“I studied the security issues and foreign policy of Georgia in Tbilisi.”
Q: What are your research interests?
“I would like to research the political and economic motives of Russia in regards to their involvement in international relations.”
Q: What is your dream job?
“My dream job would be working with a organization that deals in areas of conflict with the hopes of being able to understand the reasoning behind the conflict, provide support to the innocent civilians involved, and negotiate a peaceful resolution.”
Q: What are your hobbies? What do you like doing in your free time?
“I enjoy outdoor activities, including running, hiking, biking, swimming, climbing, kayaking, camping, backpacking, and traveling. Anything that gets me outdoors in the sunshine. Also, I have a 7-year old dog who is my free time companion.”
