FILM: Kenedi Goes Back Home
Part of the Documentary, Adjective film series.
Summary: In his trademark docu-fiction style, Žilnik explores the fate of a group of Roma, who are deported back to Serbia after spending as long as 12 years as refugees in Germany. Many find themselves in a place they are no longer familiar with, often settling in shantytowns for lack of any other choice. At the center of the film are two friends Kenedi and Denis. We follow them as they search for a place to live, work, and long-forgotten relatives in an environment of deep economic and social inequalities.
