Ukrainian Folk Singing Workshop

This fun and interactive workshop will introduce the participants to the regional differences of Ukrainian vocal folk music and offer singing practice of different genres (lyrical songs, ritual songs, Christmas carols) in a 3-part range. The event will culminate in a group performance.

The workshop will be led by Iryna Voloshyna (Folklore Studies, UNC) and her colleagues Brian Dolphin and Vaiva Aglinska, both members of the New York-based ensemble Ukrainian Village Voices (UVV).

This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited and RSVP is required. Please email cseees@unc.edu to reserve your spot.

Free parking is available after 5 p.m. at the FedEx Global Education Center garage and the surrounding UNC parking lots.
